Year 7 2027 information evening
Date: Wednesday, 4th March 2026
Time: 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Wyong High School warmly invites prospective Year 7 families to join us for our 2027 Information Evening. This is a great opportunity to explore how we support students through a wide range of engaging and flexible learning pathways designed to help every learner succeed.
During the evening, you’ll hear from key members of our school community and meet the team who will be supporting students as they begin their Year 7 journey in 2027.

2027 STEM Selective class
The STEM Selective Program has been designed to engage students who have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Our challenging curriculum will develop their skills in critical and creative thinking and build upon their communication skills through Project Based Learning. Students will be completing challenging problem-solving tasks to build their collaboration skills with like-minded classmates.
Our program offers opportunities to connect students with industry mentors, pathways to employment and tertiary education, while developing those future focused skills that are highly sought after in the STEM industry.
Interested students are able to apply online, or you may download a hard copy of the application here. Students will be shortlisted and offered to sit the STEM Selective Entry Exam.

STEM Selective taster day
Wyong High School is offering an exciting and innovative STEM Selective Taster Day for Year 6 students in our local region who are considering applying for the 2027 STEM Selective Program.
The STEM Selective Taster Day will be conducted on Wednesday, 25th March 2026 from 9.00am to 2.30pm. It will be held in the IT Centre at Wyong High School. The STEM Selective Taster Day will be run by talented STEM teachers and selected STEM students to help develop skills and knowledge required for our STEM Selective Program.
To register for the STEM Taster Day, please complete the permission form online by Tuesday 17th March 2026. Or you can download the permission letter here.
2027 AIM HIGH class
The AIM HIGH program is an innovative learning initiative designed to unlock students’ potential for lifelong success. It combines motivation with advanced skills development, preparing highly motivated learners for post-secondary education, skill-building, and work readiness.
Through a unique curriculum led by trained staff, AIM HIGH offers collaborative problem-solving, critical thinking activities, exclusive excursions, and university engagement. The program fosters creative, independent, and accelerated learning, setting high expectations for academic and personal achievement.

In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.
