STEM SELECTIVE

Vision

Our STEM Selective program allows our students to have access to industry standard state of the art technology and specialist teachers who extend their learning. We aim to provide our students with the skills, knowledge and the ability to achieve success in their future learning pathways. Our future focused program endeavours to produce students who are equipped with Future Focused learning skills such as collaboration, innovation, adaptability and leadership within the field of information technology.

Year 7 & 8 STEM Selective Program

Our selective STEM program is designed to nurture the interest in and grow the knowledge of Information Technology students using collaborative, innovative design challenges, cloud-based applications and hardware exercises. Year 7 students access five STEM periods per fortnight and Year 8, three periods.

Only those students that are truly interested in technology should apply and any student not following school PBL policies and procedures, after consultation with appropriate parties, can be removed from the program.

The program requires an application to be made at the beginning of Year 6. The process and documentation is outlined in the Selective Application Info Tab.
